A Greener District

Thinking and acting green is essentially about the sensible use of natural resources.

We live in one of the driest districts in England and energy is neither cheap nor abundant. We believe it is in everyone's interests that we do all we reasonably can to reduce harmful emissions, save water and conserve energy.

We believe the council must set an example by looking at its own consumption of water and fuel and seeing how it can be reduced.

We will continue to provide advice to homeowners on energy conservation and are making sure energy-saving measures are built into new housing developments.

Over the past two years we have assisted small businesses to reduce energy and transport costs. The Suffolk Coastal Energy Advice scheme offers small and medium-sized businesses free specialist energy advice and has supported 82 businesses to date. We shall continue with the scheme for at least another year.

Promoted by Tom Cunningham and Terry Eastman on behalf of Suffolk Conservatives Conservative Councillors all of 19 The Business Centre, Earl Soham, Woodbridge IP13 7SA.
